" heart와 mind의 차이? "
=> his state of mind, mind set, open your mind, mind and spirit, human mind, mind control, mind and body 처럼 mind는 주로 철학적, 종교적, 법학, 의학에서 객관적 연구의 대상으로 많이 취급.
반면, heart는 감정이나 애정, 본심, 진심, 진실 따위를 표현할 때, 또는 비유적으로 많이 쓰임.
가령 She has no heart. (메마른 사람) , 연인을 부를 때 a sweet heart, She broke my heart.(슬프죠...)
heart가 훨씬 감성적이 면이 강하다. 가령 자원단체에서 여러분 꼬실 때 여러분의 heart에 호소하지, mind에 호소하진 않는다.
많은 문장을 접하다 보면 mind하고 heart하고 그다지 헷갈리진 않습니다. 어느 단어가 적절한 지 그냥 느낌으로 아는데, 정리해보니 그럴싸하네요.
I always speak from my heart = 나는 (진심/진정으로) 마음에서 우러나오는 말을한다.
I always speak from my mind = 나는 (형식적인) 말을 한다. (따뜻한 인정이 없는)
