   " Rob이 오늘 조금 일찍 퇴근하도로고 해줄까요? "

   => Do you think Rob would let me leave a little early today?

   예) W : Do you think Rob would let me leave a little early today?
        M : Probably not. I think there's a lot of stuff he wants to finish up today and he'll probably need your help.
        W : Oh, no.
        M : I'm going to have to do a bit of overtime myself.

   " fat chance " 무슨 뜻?

   => '매우 희박한 기회(slim chance/ very slight chance)'
        fat에 반어적으로 'little, poor, slight, slim'이란 뜻이 부여되면서 이런 뜻을 갖게 된 것이죠.

        Ex. What, John get a job? Fat chance of that!
              (뭐? 존이 일자리를 찾는다구? 그건 있을 수 없는 일이지.)

        또 "a fat lot of good[use]"도 "전혀 도움이 안되는, 쓸모가 없는(not at all useful or helpful)"

         Ex. I don't know much about cars. Well you're a fat lot of use, aren't you?
              (난 차에 관해서는 많이 몰라. 도움이 안되는 군, 그치?)

   => You'll be sitting the pretty

A: I put my name on the dotted line for a new savings program at the bank.
B: I’ve always wanted to get involved in one of those deals. What are the conditions?
A: I have to deposit a certain, agreed upon amount of cash each month for five years.
B: That might seem like long, but when it wraps up, (상황이 좋아지겠다.)
